Oh Baby!

Hey guys!
Today's post is project I made back in September.  I'm posting a lot of old projects because I'm working on new stuff, but want to make sure I add content to my blog every day or two.  I hope you don't mind.  Anyway, I decorated a gift bag and made a handmade card for my friend's baby shower.

I used the now retired Parisian Damask stencil to decorate a large gift bag.  Stencils are a very easy way to produce something with the "WOW" effect.
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Garden Green, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: large white gift bag
Here's the card:

I CASE'd a card by Monica Weaver who uses metal a lot. It's a beautiful effect, but I didn't have any metal. So the card uses the faux metal technique.

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Basic Pearls, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Background Texturz Plates, Big Shot, clear embossing powder, heat tool.

The faux metal technique is very cool.  Eventually, I would like to show you how to do it on a video.  Just got to figure out how to make a video...lol!  Talk to you tomorrow.

  1. Two really beautiful projects, Cathy. I didn't realize that the stencils would be large enough to pretty-up a bag this well! Thanks for sharing, and when you figure out that video thing, you'll have to tutorial-ize it for the rest of us ;)
