Bridal Shower Favors for kids

Here's a bridal shower favor I made for the few kids that were allowed to attend:

It's a coloring pack!  The pack contains a crayon holder and 5 coloring pages.  I got the idea from Tami White, who has a video and pdf. document that can be viewed and downloaded from her site.  Isn't it cute?  I don't have many stamp sets for kid so I used flower and bridal themes.  The favors were for little girls.

Stamps:  Priceless, Thanks for Caring, Fun Fast Notes, Fifth Avenue Floral, Happy Moments (retired)
Cardstock:  Melon mambo, Daffodil delight, Whisper White
Paper:  Ice Cream Parlor (Sale-A-Bration 2011)
Ink:  Melon Mambo, Black staz-on
Accessories:  Scallop border punch, basic rhinestones, 1" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, corner rounder punch, crop-a-dile, various colors of retired ribbon pieces
Non SU!:  1" binder ring, crayons

Workshop Thank You Gifts

I wanted to thank everyone who supported my workshop so I made bookmarks for all the guests:

I used the 4" jumbo clips from an office supply store and simply made flowers out of 10 scallop circles.  I used the instructions posted onto Stampin' Connection by Carrie Dillard.  All you do is punch the scallop circles out of cardstock (I used Whisper White).  Outline the scallops with a marker color of your choice, then spritz with water and let the color bleed into the cardstock.  After assembling the flower, I spritzed with shimmer mist.  It made them very sparkly and really lovely.  Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of all the bookmarks I made.  It would have been nice.  I made them in different colors to match the Beyond the Garden designer series paper:  Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi.  Then I made little holders for each bookmark.  The base cardstock is 4 1/4" x 2 1/2.  The DSP is 4 x 2 1/4.  I used the word windo punch for an opening and then adhered the paper to the cardstock, then slid the bookmark in.  Very simple & quick.

MY FIRST WORKSHOP!!!!

Yup, I finally hosted my first workshop!  My husband's aunt, Susan, hosted the party with her workmates.  It was a blast!  I was nervous, stayed up way too late making the projects and got no sales, but overall, it was a fun and great learning experience for me.  There were 8 ladies, one brought her daughter.  I know they were lured to Susan's house because of her fabulous cocktails....and they were FABULOUS...but why not learn to make a card too?  Well they did and we had a great time.  I did not take pics of the projects, but suffice it to say they were two simple cards.  I showed them stepped up versions.  But, here are the gifts I made:

Hostess gift: card portfolio

Card portfolio, open

Beyond the Garden DSP, Summer Mini 2011

The card portfolio features products from the Summer Mini 2011: Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper and Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Those products are FABULOUS...if you haven't gotten them...GET THEM NOW!!

I CASEd this idea from Mickey Roberts with minor changes.  Her idea came right on time...I was agonizing on what to make.  When I saw her samples, I thought it was a GREAT way to feature the products.  Check out Mickey's blog!

I don't have the thank you gift uploaded yet, but I will post it tomorrow.  Come back and see me!
